The Milken Institute creates an annual index that provides a way to measure where the greatest opportunities for innovation can be found throughout America. This Best-Performing Cities index uses metrics such as wage gains, technological developments and job creation. This report measures economic performance of US cities large and small for the previous year, utilizing a number of metrics which are tipped to favor the “tech” side of the scale.
In this years’ index, Coeur d’Alene made the list for the Top 10 Best-Performing Small Cities for the first time, landing at number 5. Intermax is proud to be recognized in association with the speed of economic development and the FFC award granted to bring broadband internet to rural North Idaho and Spokane.
