Help Us Bring Fiber Internet to Your Community
If you live on a private road in Hauser ID, the HWY 54 corridor (Spirit Lake, Athol, and Rathdrum), or Selle Valley, ID, we need your help to deliver high-speed fiber internet to your neighborhood.
Did You Receive Our Letter or Door Hanger?
Here’s What’s Next!
You may have received a letter or door hanger from Intermax about our fiber internet expansion project. If so, great! You’re in the right place. This page explains everything you need to know about the project, why we’re reaching out, and how you can help.
About the Project
Intermax Networks was awarded a grant to bring high-speed fiber internet to some of the most rural areas of North Idaho. This is a huge opportunity to improve connectivity for homes and businesses—but we need your help to make it happen.
Many homes in our grant areas are located on private roads, which means we need permission from property owners to build fiber infrastructure along the road. You are not required to subscribe to our service, but your permission is essential to build the infrastructure for you and your neighbors.
Most homeowners say yes once they understand the process, but we know legal documents can feel intimidating. That’s why we’re here to walk you through it and answer any questions.
Why Your Permission Matters
- Without permission to build on private roads, we cannot complete the fiber build in these areas.
- Your neighbors may be counting on this connection, too.
- Saying “YES” helps bring the fastest, most reliable internet to your community.
- You’re helping bridge the digital divide in rural Idaho.

Recognize These?
You may have seen a door hanger on your door or gate, or received a letter in your mailbox.
These materials are part of our outreach to private road owners. If you received one, it means your road is part of our planned fiber build.
Spread the Word!
If you’re on board, help us reach your neighbors!
We need permission from all road owners to move forward. Some roads have an HOA or a road association that can provide permission, and some roads may have a utility easement. It is helpful to provide Intermax with this information so that we can proceed.
Even if you don’t want service, your approval and information help others get connected.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I have to sign up for internet service if I give permission?
No. Granting permission only allows us to build the infrastructure. You’re not obligated to subscribe.
Will this affect my property?
Our team works with care and respect. We’ll restore any disturbed areas and leave your property as good—or better—than we found it.
What’s the timeline for this project?
We must complete the fiber build by end of 2026. Every permission helps us stay on track.
What if I say no?
That’s okay—but it may prevent us from delivering fiber to you and your neighbors.
