All customers receive a Calix WiFi6 router as the heart of every broadband service package. This router connects the internet to your home network while safeguarding your family from the outside world. It provides wired and WiFi signal to home network devices, blocks malicious external actors, and ensures Intermax delivers a stable and reliable connection across our network and throughout your home.

Intermax Insights Mobile App

We’ve customized the Calix CommandIQ mobile app to work with the Calix Gigaspire router and the Intermax network. This app runs on your phone to manage your home network, including basic management controls.

For example: set up guest networks and passwords, pause the internet for a specific user, prioritize performance in the living room, or monitor tablet usage for kids. This is also where we may send service notifications to keep you up to date on Intermax network activity.

Like a deadbolt on the front door, ProtectIQ is an additional feature set that helps you lock down all entry points to the home network and keep yourself safe from thousands of attacks and privacy breaches. ExperienceIQ

The granular controls in ExperienceIQ let you tailor your home network behaviors even further for each user, group, or device on your network. Prioritize work-from-home traffic above games and entertainment, for example, by filtering traffic and setting priorities for specific devices or applications. Set screen time limits for specific devices or users to automatically manage consumption or prevent usage after bedtime. Contact us to enable this feature.

Your home network requires a router (also called gateway) device for it to connect to the rest of the Internet. The standard Intermax Home Equipment package includes Calix WiFi 6 router and the Intermax Insights mobile application to give you the latest in connectivity and control.

We strongly recommend this to customers because this package also supports additional software suite upgrades with functionality like in-depth parental traffic monitoring and controls, protection against malicious websites, and network virus detection.

All Intermax routers include parental controls, network protection, and the ability to mesh multiple devices over a WiFi 6 backhaul. In addition, the Intermax Insights mobile app gives you behavior health reports and lets you manage your router’s settings, even away from home. 

Our team will setup the router and teach you the mobile app during installation. If you upgrade or replace your router, you should be able to just plug it in and turn it on. If you need any help, contact our support team.

Yes! If you have our support plan, contact Intermax support, and we will be more than happy to fix any issues, including a new router, if needed.

Yes, you may use your own router. However, if you experience downtime or connectivity trouble, we can’t help you troubleshoot connection issues or support your home network. 

For as long as you have our support membership. 

You don’t need to! Our team takes care of the device for you. 

Hold down the reset button for 5-10 seconds, or just contact support, and we can take care of it for you.
